Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 3, 2026

GTS is a desktop trading-tools platform. This policy explains what limited information our website (gts-desk.com) collects in connection with accounts, licensing, billing, and our optional community features — and, just as importantly, what we do not collect.

Our privacy promise. Your trading data lives entirely on your own computer. The GTS desktop platform does not transmit your trading details, strategy logic, broker credentials, trade history, positions, or trading rules to our servers — we do not have access to any of it. This website only handles your account, billing, license validation, and the items you explicitly choose to publish to the GTS community.

1. What We Collect

Account information you provide:

  • Email address (required for login and billing receipts).
  • Password — stored only as a one-way hash, never in plaintext.
  • Optional: name, country.

If you sign in with Google:

  • Your verified email address, name, and Google account identifier (sub).
  • We do not receive your Google password and we do not request access to your contacts, calendar, or any other Google data.

Billing information:

  • PayPal subscription / payment IDs and receipt records.
  • We do not receive or store your card numbers — PayPal handles all payment details.

License and device validation:

  • A device record for each machine you activate (see §2 below for full detail).
  • License-activation requests reach our servers from your IP address; this appears in short-lived server-side operational logs governed by the standard hosting log-rotation policy.

Security audit:

  • Google sign-in events (signup, login, account linking, security mismatches), including timestamp, IP address, and browser-type string — recorded for abuse detection and account-recovery investigations. We do not log password-based logins or failed login attempts.

Voluntary submissions only:

  • Concepts you publish to the GTS community (only when you click “Publish to community”).
  • Bug reports and feature requests submitted via the platform feedback form.

We do not collect phone numbers, government IDs, social security numbers, contacts, or any data beyond what is listed above.

2. Device Activation & License Limits

To enforce subscription limits (for example, 1, 3, or 5 devices per plan), we keep a record of the machines where your license is activated. This record may include:

  • A generated device identifier.
  • Basic system information (such as hostname).
  • Activation and last-seen timestamps.

Purpose. This information is used only to validate your license and to prevent unauthorised sharing of the software.

Scope. We do not use this data for tracking your activity, profiling, or advertising. It is never combined with your trading activity, because we do not collect your trading activity.

Control. You can view and revoke your registered devices yourself from your account dashboard at any time. If you uninstall GTS, the device record remains until you revoke it (or your subscription ends) — this is what allows you to reinstall on the same machine without using up an extra device slot. If you have any difficulty, contact support@gts-desk.com.

3. What We Do NOT Collect

GTS is a desktop platform — your trading activity stays on your machine. The website does not collect, store, or transmit:

  • Your broker API keys or trading credentials.
  • Your positions, orders, trades, or portfolio.
  • Your private strategies or expression formulas (these stay on your local install).
  • Your watchlists or chart configurations.
  • Real-time market data or price history.
  • Any other trading details whatsoever beyond the items explicitly listed in §1 above.

More broadly: we do not collect any data from your computer beyond the items explicitly listed in §1 above. No trading data of any kind is transmitted to or stored on our servers.

4. How We Use Your Information

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the website and account services.
  • Process billing and manage subscriptions.
  • Respond to support requests and feedback.
  • Detect abuse, secure accounts, and protect license integrity.

5. Browser Storage, Cookies & Analytics

We do not use third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or tracking pixels. No Google Analytics. No Mixpanel. No FullStory. No advertising networks.

The site stores a few items in your browser’s local storage:

  • Theme preference (light / dark).
  • Login / session token (kept until you log out, or until the tab closes if “remember me” is off).
  • Admin API key (only on admin pages, only for admins).

For more detail, see our Cookie Policy.

6. Community & Shared Content

Anything you publish to the GTS community is intentionally public — visible to other community members and rankable / votable by them. You publish only by deliberately clicking “Publish to community” on a concept; nothing is shared automatically. Don’t post anything you wouldn’t want others to see.

You may request removal of your community content at any time by emailing support@gts-desk.com. Requests received within 24 hours of publishing are processed without questions. After that window, support continues to handle removal requests — please get in touch for any issue with your published content.

7. AI, Algorithms & Your Data

GTS analytics use deterministic technical-analysis algorithms (pattern detection, indicators, screeners). We do not currently train machine-learning models on your data, your trades, or your community submissions. We do not sell your data, and we do not intentionally share your data with AI vendors.

8. GTS Desktop Platform — What It Sends

The GTS desktop platform does not currently transmit your trading data, broker credentials, or private strategies to our servers. The desktop platform contacts our website only for:

  1. License validation — we verify only that your software activation is valid for the machine you are using. The desktop platform sends a device ID and activation token; the IP address is logged for fraud detection. No trading data, strategies, or account contents are sent. The connection is encrypted end-to-end via HTTPS (TLS).
  2. Community publishing — only when you explicitly click “Publish to community” on a concept you choose to share. Nothing is uploaded automatically; sharing is always your deliberate choice.

Separately, when you log in to the website your email and password also travel over HTTPS, and your password is stored only as a one-way hash — meaning even we are unable to read it back.

Your watchlists, charts, private strategies, positions, orders, broker keys, and trading history all stay on your local machine.

9. How We Share Information

We share data only with the service providers strictly needed to run the platform:

  • PayPal — payment processing and subscription management.
  • Google — only if you choose to sign in with your Google account.
  • Email forwarding service — for our support address.

We may also disclose information when required by law (for example, in response to a subpoena or regulatory request). We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

10. Data Retention, Deletion & Your Rights

We retain account data for as long as your account is active, plus what is required for billing records and legal compliance.

Operational logs (such as IP addresses captured during Google sign-in events and similar diagnostic records) are retained only for as long as reasonably needed for security, abuse detection, and fraud-prevention purposes — typically not longer than twelve months — unless a specific investigation requires us to keep them for longer. Voluntarily submitted content (community concepts, feedback) is retained until you request its deletion.

What you can do yourself, at any time, from your account dashboard:

  • Cancel your subscription (your access continues until the end of the current billing period).
  • Change your password, or reset it via the “Forgot password” link on the login page.
  • View and revoke registered devices.
  • Rotate your API key.
  • Permanently delete your account — this cancels any active subscription, removes your votes and feedback, and erases your account data from our servers. Items you have published to the GTS community remain in the public community archive but are anonymised (your name and email are stripped). Once shared, the community has adopted them — the content stays for the benefit of other users. Only our admin team can subsequently remove a community item, on quality grounds. Billing receipts are kept in anonymised form for the period required by tax law.

Other rights — processed via support:

  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Opt out of non-essential marketing communications.

Send these requests to support@gts-desk.com. We may ask you to verify ownership before processing, and we aim to respond within 30 days — consistent with applicable data-protection laws, including the EU / UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act.

11. Security

  • All traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS (TLS).
  • Account passwords are stored as one-way hashes — never in plaintext.
  • Administrative access to our servers is strictly limited and authenticated.
  • Suspicious activity is monitored and logged.
  • Hosted in the EU. Your data is processed under European data-protection standards (GDPR).

We continue to invest in additional security hardening. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to minimise risk to your data.

12. Minors & International Users

GTS is not intended for anyone under 18. If we learn that a minor has registered, we will delete the account.

Our site and database are hosted within the European Union. By using GTS from outside the EU, you consent to your data being transferred to and processed in the EU under GDPR-aligned data-protection rules.

13. Changes & Contact

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised policy.
